I'll have to remember that name. I always use something in my dads garage that rapes wd-40 but, I never can remember what the hell it is.Todd said:pb blaster is like wd-40 on crack... it's the s**t

i can prop the car up on the metal piece in the front with one jack?gabebauman said:Just go to "Home Depot" or "Lowes" and buy a scrap piece of 2x8 ( about 4ft long), cut it in half and set them on the ground in front of your tires, drive up on them and then slide your hydrolic jack under the front bumper and lift it that way. (There's a 4in wide piece of metal, just off center that can hold the weight of the car.) I've been using this method for about two years. Works great with really low front bumpers. The scrap piece of lumber was like $1 or $2.
yes they were both tightened and as they slowly fell i even tightened them more to see if they would stop but then kept crawling lower and lower until it was at the ground....and one of our jacks is brand new![civic] said:I didnt read your latest post when I was typing...did you turn the knob on the hydro jack to tighten? Maybe its time to pick up a new hydro jack...
That's correct...did you look under the front bumper? The part I'm talking about it about 10" back and off center (drivers side). I have a 1 3/4 ton jack (fairly big) and it slides right under. Good Luck.EM1_ProJect said:i can prop the car up on the metal piece in the front with one jack?
[civic] said:Hey, did you run over a curb or an island with your car?
Btw...get a 2 ton jack from Kragens for like 20 bucks...I use the rear tow hook point as the lifting point. Then you can slide in the oem jack from the sides. Or you can have 2 of them hydrolic jacks ready in the garage.
Makes life alot easier.

lol people keep asking what happened when i posted it above if you all had read the whole thing. the frame is bent because i got in an accident where i was hit from the back and thrown over the median...when my side hit the median it pulled my frame under while the car went over....everything is ok though, this was months ago.imracin101 said:WTF happend dude or is this old??
Mine is a little bent because I drove up a little island curb that held supermarket carts. Ripped the whole sideskirt...EM1_ProJect said:lol people keep asking what happened when i posted it above if you all had read the whole thing. the frame is bent because i got in an accident where i was hit from the back and thrown over the median...when my side hit the median it pulled my frame under while the car went over....everything is ok though, this was months ago.
