dc 4-2-1 race header install on jpcrash 07 si

did i mention that the engine bay is f**kin small ... they had us remove all sorts of s**t just to get to it

we had to use this to get the 3 bolts on the bottom where the top goes to the block off

and later tightening everything back down

so far no check engine light. This is the race header which means it is "for off road use only" and gets rid of the cat too. I told him he better move out of ca in 5 years when the car comes up for smog cause no way im helpin him put the stock one back on lol ...

also dc's instructions are terrible ... all the bolt sizes are wrong ... joe still has the sheet hopefully he takes a pic cause we corrected it as we went along haha.

pretty good ... he let me be the first to drive it since i provided all the tools and my driveway space (he lives in an apartment and they cant do anything aside from washing their cars) ..... it rips pretty good ... plus it was my first time ever driving an si so that was fun .... it hit 117 on the freeway like it was nothing ... he also has an injen intake ... so now he just needs exhaust. We plan on doing a full photoshoot soon

Yea, these newer 8th Gen Civics are a pain to work on. The engine bay is so damn small, its rediculus. Looks good tho.

nah we started at like 5p and got done around 9 or so, and that was with a dinner break and a trip to home depot to get some bolts we misplaced

It took a couple hours and we lost two bolts so we had to improvise. Got them ordered at honda with a new exuast manafold gasket and i'm going to have my buddy there torque everything to spec so i don't gota trip about it. It actually sounds really nice. I don't need an exaust for the sound, i love how it sounds right now and i do NOT want that ricey sound. So i'm gonna wait and see how different ones sound. Trying to keep the apperance as STOCK as possible.
