del Sol gets no love

I've seen a few really nice Del Sols around my area, but is true that they wiegh more then a coupe of the same generation? Just something I've heard.

Thats crazy, I know the 5th gen sols are quite a bit smaller then my coupe. What makes them so heavy?

the roof design mainly, then add the power rear windo, ect

1994 del sol VTEC weighs 2491

still weighs more....and here is a point of reference


1994 integra GS-R coupe weighs 2667lbs

94 del sols have SRS air bags, that adds alot. I have a 94 DX and it weighs 2100 pounds, my friends del sols each weigh around 2,500. Still light compared to other cars

my `97 Coupe EX weights just 2300 (as it has A/c uninstalled)

not only the tails but the muffler and the wing too.....anywho what year 1.8t? i was going to buy my moms 97 off of her.....and get an APR stage 3 for it.....8)

honestly, i didnt like the beige at first either.... but this other guy i know has one with black interior and beige is nicer.

he doesnt have any mods yet... but there are lots of plans. tint, rs4 front, 18'' bbs ch rims, etc, etc....

does he know about APR stuff??? i am just not a beige person i guess.....so yeah....APR stuff, is he aware of it?

Oh i know what APR is now... we got a brouchure on it... i believe that they have all those deep dish rims that only fit audi and vw right? some of them are ok... but i think bbs is nicer. correct me if i'm wrong about APR having rims... i think it was APR.... but i'm not 100% sure.

but thanks for the info temp02!.... how come you didnt just get yout mom's audi and paint it a different colour?? the beige will grow on yah...

i do beleive they sell rims, but the rims are not manufactured by APR, but yeah the stage 3 kit is NICE......well my mom did not want to make a car payment anymore, which she would have to do if i bought the audi from her, it might be an option now that she moved from reno to colorado, if i do end up getting it i will keep it red, red w/ carbon fiber trunk and hood looks NICE...there is another company that is a well known audi tuner, let me see if i cant find the link
