If some of you remember I purchased a 93 hatch. There are pics of the car under 92-95 members ride. I traded the car for another 99 coupe. If you remember I had a 99 coupe for a long time, over 5 years. This new coupe is the same year, color everything like my old one. This new one is a little over done for my taste though.
But I will use this thread to show my progress with the car. I am building it and then plan on selling the car. Of course I am going to put tags on it but I would like to sell it to. Selling it will pay off everything I have left and when I purchased the 93 hatch I got a 90 s13 240sx also in the deal that I am driving as my daily. The Jeep just sits in the back yard. Enough of the story here is what I have done so far.
The car came with cf altezza lights, they are SAE Dot approved but not my style

Replaced those with 99-00 taillights

The previous owner all painted the interior a little bit

I have all the replacement pieces to replace the painted parts of the interior, they are laying in the back seat. I had enough time during lunch to install the taillights and the trunk carpet. Then I had to roll back to work.

The car had no trunk carpet

I installed the rear carpet, I just have to clean it up a little

This is what the engine bay looks like right now. We are pulling it in the garage soon. I have a built bottom end LS. Using the b16 head for a nice ls/vtec swap. The tranny I was told was a b16 with lsd. I will confirm that when we pull the engine apart. I have a act clutch for it. dc sport headers 4-1.

Here are some pics of the car when dude owned it. As you will see I am replacing the taillights, headlights, bodykit to OEM and putting smaller wheels on it. Oh and when I got it, the vert. door kit wasn't with the car. Which is good cause I don't really like that either.

More pics and progress will be up as I continue to work on the car.

Here is my to do list.
Replace Altezza with SI Tails - CHECK
Install Rear Trunk Carpet - CHECK
Finish taking out the painted interior and installing the new int. pieces I have - CHECK
Trailor car to garage - CHECK
Pull Motor Swap out
Put Vtec head on ls bottom end
Install ACT Clutch
Put swap back together
Install into car
Install DC Sports 4-1 Headers
Replace bodykit with OEM bumpers
Replace projector headlights with OEM Headlights
Install CD Player
Put smaller wheels on
Get car repainted and fix the dents in car.
Clean the car up and put for sale signs in her

Seems like a long list but I have all the engine parts including the built ls bottom end sitting in the garage
Only thing I really have left to do is buy OEM bumpers, headlights and misc things for the engine that I may need including fluids, oh and I need wheels. I will have left over will be ls head, b16 block, bodykit, projector headlights, altezza lights, painted interior pieces, and I know I will have extra motor stuff laying around that will also be up for sale. Now all I really have to do is the labor part.

hahaa wait until I start driving around, people that know me are going to say WTF, I thought he sold it? hahaha
But yeah I sold my first 99 coupe for $7500. Yeah can check my other threads to see pics of it from when I had a kit on it to putting the OEM look back on with a JDM look.

Then I was tired of driving the Jeep Wrangler around every day. I love it but not for daily use. So my best friend hooked me up with a deal I would buy a 90 240sx and a 93 hatch off of him for a certain price. In which I did. Basically for that price I got the 240sx for free. I am daily driving the 240sx right now. The hatch came with a stock d15 in it and a brand new built LS swap with gsr tranny and everything to install. I liked that hatch but I saw this 99 coupe online dude was wanting to trade for my hatch. The 99 coupe only has 77,000 miles on it, 00 b16a2 swap with lsd tranny (thats what he said). We had to trailor the car home cause it wouldn't start. Over 3hrs to dudes house to make the trade. Next day I get the car started has a bad rod knock. Which I don't care, the head is good, tranny was fine. I have another swap in the garage in case. By the end of finishing this project this car will be worth more then what the hatch would have been worth because of the mileage on the chassis of the coupe. Will have brand new motor in the car. Already have parts coming for the car. Put new 99-00 taillights in. I have all interior pieces to replace the painted ones that were in the car. Car came with no trunk carpet, I just installed trunk carpet. I am replacing the fenders, the ones on it have dents and creases in them. I am picking up a mint set, that are already painted the same color in 2weeks for the car for $100. Getting the car into the garage soon to do the motor swap, and while I am at it I plan on doing a wire tuck. I need bumpers, headlights and wheels and I will be done. I mean there are a lot of parts I would love to put on the car like Recaro Seats, SI Gauge Cluster, jdm fogs and so on but the new owner can do that. I just want to make the car look good and drive like a champ. I mean the motor should be pretty stout.
So far I have this in the swap
b18a been cleaned and honed.
New p30 pistons, new rings
NEW OEM bearings, gaskets
b16 head
dcsports 4-1 headers
s21 lsd tranny with act 6puck, lighten flywheel
ngk wires
p30 ecu with hondata s200
I mean it should run decent, I hope.

Oh an the kit on it is alright if you like that kind of thing. I use to be into that but I just don't like the lines it makes in the car. The kit lines up alright. Its not a bad look, I just don't like it. I want the car to look more stock make it look like a SI just with Green paint :D

Edit: Oh and I think i have a firm grasp on what I am doing. I got my first coupe back in 01 just sold in the end of 06. A lot of my friends have started out with Honda's or still have Honda's. I've done a few swaps, suspension, stereo installs. Taken Honda's down to just a shell. I mean almost every bolt on a Honda I have touched. My friend helped build the LS bottom end. We make our own LS/Vtec conversion instead of buying the kit. I will be pulling the b16 oil and water pump to put on the LS block. I mean in order to work on a Honda all you need is a 10mm, 12mm, 14mm, 32mm(axle nut) phillips screw driver, and I think a 17 or 18mm for the motor mounts. Oh and for this build soldering tools cause I am going to tuck the wires in the engine bay. Only thing this car won't have that my old one did is AC. I did a write up on how I installed a obd1 b16 into a obd2b chassis. My last coupe had a gsr gauge cluster I rewired and installed. At one point I was big into stereo systems so the last coupe had crossovers for the component speakers cut into the doors(some people don't like but it was different)
Honda's are easy to work on. Now I am learning about 240's which are just as easy as working on Honda's

More pics to follow as I get more time to work on the car, so many hours spent at the job that I don't have a lot to spend on the car.

Couple Updates,
Got the car into the garage over the weekend. Me and my girl pulled the bodykit off, took out the projector headlights, replaced all the painted interior with oem non painted pieces. The engine is ready to pull out, just need to pull the wire harness off, disconnect the axles, exhaust and shiftlinkage. The built b18 bottom end is ready for the vtec head. I have a OEM rear bumper for the car. I still need to get oem side skirts, front bumper and new headlights. Also taking off the 17's and will be rocking steelies with 99-00 hubcaps until I sell some motor parts laying around the garage to get a set of wheels for it. I forgot to bring the camera but will take pics next time when I get to the garage. The car already looks 10times better then what it did. Also confirmed it has a p30ecu with hondata s200, so dude I bought it off was right when he said it had that. Now waiting to confirm about the tranny being LSD. We can't wait to get this car running and up for sale. This car will help pay off unwanted debt like credit cards. We are in the process of buying a PHAT ass house and trying to get this project done and sold as fast as possible. Look for pics coming soon.

Ok some of you may hate this decision, but if I can't trade my parts I have for OEM bumpers then I am going to put the kit back on and rock some big wheels on the car with a nice ls/vtec swap and hondata s200 with all options except boost.

Reason being I need to sell the car fast because we are looking at buying this house. I have a couple dealers that might buy the car off of me. So if the car looks riced out thats fine by me. We still need to paint the car so if I can find OEM bumpers somewhere then they will be on the car when I sell it. Which ever comes first. I will get pics up ASAP when I get back to the garage and put the motor in.

Yeah thanks, I had plans for this car. I was in the process of ordering a lip kit, new headlights, jdm fogs and a set of 15-16 wheels. But a VERY good deal on a house came up from a good friend of the family. So the project needs to get out of the garage. There are kids around here that love this kinda stuff and a good friend that owns a dealership said he would take it with the stuff on it. So to get the car out faster and cheaper, I would rather keep the stuff on it.

We will see though if I can get a OEM Bumper and sideskirts I would personally rather have that on the car. I got a few weeks so we will see.

Thanks. I'm so EXCITED about getting this house, cars really don't matter at this point. I mean I have a 90 240sx I can play with but really doesn't even matter right now.

We are looking at:
newer 1800sq. ft. house with 3bedroom, 1 1/2 bath
8.5 acres
Detached 2bay garage with attic storage space
Full Size In-ground pool with diving board and a Pool storage buidling
Living Room Furniture, bedroom suite, washer n Dryer, dining set, fridge, lawn equip. incl. riding lawn moyer, TV's
with a beautiful view of the Shenandoah River.

Thats why I am so in a hurry to sell this car.

Since I am living it riced out now to sell to a dealer, I ordered a new 17in wheel today. I have 4 adr sokudo 8's but one rim was f**kED. I just placed a order for one new wheel.
I never heard of bigwheels.net but they had good prices and allow you to order one wheel and not a wheel tire package like most places. Plus they don't charge extra for ordering one wheel and breaking up a set. We will see how fast they get it here.
So wheels will be ready to go.
Will be swapping in the motor in a few days. Actually going to pull the motor out of the car tonight.
Then off to paint the car and re-install the bodykit, unless I can convince the dealer to have his paint guy spray it. We will see.

So you bought a coupe, traded it for a 240 and eg hatch. You traded the hatch for the new green coupe, and now you're selling the new green coupe b/c you want a house.. Did I get that correctly?
