If some of you remember I purchased a 93 hatch. There are pics of the car under 92-95 members ride. I traded the car for another 99 coupe. If you remember I had a 99 coupe for a long time, over 5 years. This new coupe is the same year, color everything like my old one. This new one is a little over done for my taste though.
But I will use this thread to show my progress with the car. I am building it and then plan on selling the car. Of course I am going to put tags on it but I would like to sell it to. Selling it will pay off everything I have left and when I purchased the 93 hatch I got a 90 s13 240sx also in the deal that I am driving as my daily. The Jeep just sits in the back yard. Enough of the story here is what I have done so far.
The car came with cf altezza lights, they are SAE Dot approved but not my style
Replaced those with 99-00 taillights
The previous owner all painted the interior a little bit
I have all the replacement pieces to replace the painted parts of the interior, they are laying in the back seat. I had enough time during lunch to install the taillights and the trunk carpet. Then I had to roll back to work.
The car had no trunk carpet
I installed the rear carpet, I just have to clean it up a little
This is what the engine bay looks like right now. We are pulling it in the garage soon. I have a built bottom end LS. Using the b16 head for a nice ls/vtec swap. The tranny I was told was a b16 with lsd. I will confirm that when we pull the engine apart. I have a act clutch for it. dc sport headers 4-1.
Here are some pics of the car when dude owned it. As you will see I am replacing the taillights, headlights, bodykit to OEM and putting smaller wheels on it. Oh and when I got it, the vert. door kit wasn't with the car. Which is good cause I don't really like that either.
More pics and progress will be up as I continue to work on the car.
Here is my to do list.
Replace Altezza with SI Tails - CHECK
Install Rear Trunk Carpet - CHECK
Finish taking out the painted interior and installing the new int. pieces I have - CHECK
Trailor car to garage - CHECK
Pull Motor Swap out
Put Vtec head on ls bottom end
Install ACT Clutch
Put swap back together
Install into car
Install DC Sports 4-1 Headers
Replace bodykit with OEM bumpers
Replace projector headlights with OEM Headlights
Install CD Player
Put smaller wheels on
Get car repainted and fix the dents in car.
Clean the car up and put for sale signs in her
Seems like a long list but I have all the engine parts including the built ls bottom end sitting in the garage
Only thing I really have left to do is buy OEM bumpers, headlights and misc things for the engine that I may need including fluids, oh and I need wheels. I will have left over will be ls head, b16 block, bodykit, projector headlights, altezza lights, painted interior pieces, and I know I will have extra motor stuff laying around that will also be up for sale. Now all I really have to do is the labor part.
