As long as you aren't going fast and downshift retardedly into first or are going slow and start in say, fifth, you should be fine.

basically, to clutchless shift, you do the same things you would do with the clutch - primarily matching the revs. If you do it smoothly, it's no harder on your tranny than doing it with the clutch....

But if you can't rev-match and mesh the gears smoothy, it'll be harder on your tranny/easier on your clutch.

I'd rather replace the clutch than tranny...

yea im with Kamikaze its more of an art then a science. but if you can master the art it saves your clutch. if you are bad at it f**ks up your tranny. clutches are easier than trannies.

you guys do know that when you see a race car driver doing clutchless shifts, they have straight-cut gears that have lots of slack. not doubting any of you guys skills, but the only non-race car i heard do clutchless shifts was a corvette with a factory driver that drives vettes for a living and mastered it on the staock car. i just hope you guys dont think you are perfect at it and mess up your gears.

So far I have got my 96 4 door civic up to 128 but I have an exhaust and intake, but if I can recall , it was like 120 give or take a mile. Looking to drop a B18 in by next summer.
