I think thats a good start.

Consider getting new shocks with ur spring/coil purchase.

yeah, the overhead light i made blue w/ those little condom thingies they sell at auto shops, oreillys (sp?), autozone, etc... diff colors. I'm going for a "blue/black" theme... hence the cd player, overhead light, and whatever is to come.

Oh yeah, and i cheaped out and bought an air intake from oriellys today. 70 bux, i know ur supposed to spend at least 150 on an aem, but whatever... getting kinda tired of having to wait for so long to save money for the car...

and i need the old head unit so i can retain the keyless entry and dome light coming on when u open the doors features... until i get a better security system. i spend alot of time getting in the car at night, when i cant really see the door locks, and i hate taking the chance of scratching the paint, so i wanna keep the keyless.

and yes, she's dirty. the paint has a few chips on the hood (which will be replaced, not repainted), and the bumper, which will also be replaced. thx for the info and comments guys, keep em coming...

first I would put some rims on it, 17 or 18 inch, whatever you prefer. Then I would get a body kit, hood and a spoiler. Then I would put an awsome paint job on the thing. Then you could put your dual exhaust and air intake on it, I like greddy exhaust myself. Then you could put an awsome stereo system in it too, get some diamond subs. But thats just me if your going for looks.

ps. i just got a cheap intake, and i was wondering if anyone else has ever heard their intake "whistle"... its like at a certain acceleration, it can whistle... i can hear it on the inside, so im sure its louder on the outside.... just wondering...

cool, thx for the info. was worried that yeah, i may actually have bought a crappy intake. but i dont have many friends w/ civics (at least none that mod them at all . ) so i wouldnt know how most things are supposed to sound. or look. etc.... but yeah. just bought Rainbow Six 3, so i'll be on xbox for the rest of the night. to Slambed_Civic, man i've gotta apologize. yeah, i was looking around in my engine earlier, and just noticed where it says your engine type. i've been looking on the left (passenger) side, but just noticed it was on the timing belt. and yeah, it says D16Y8, not 7.

so... does that mean i DO have vtec? and i know u said it won't say it anywhere, but in the manual it says EX's did come w/ vtec. why don't 6th gens say it?

yup vtec sohc, and the whistle is very normal i had that engine and it did that really loud too while i had the venom intake manifold. the vtec on ur engine isnt that noticeable but if you pay attention enough youll get used to playin with the vtec and hearing it turn on. wont feel it though, need more mods for that

i dont know if i feel it or not, y'know? i havnt been in a civic w/ dohc vtec... so all i know i feel is when it gets around 5-6 k rpms, the engine kicks, i get pushed forward in my seat a lil, then get pushed back as i hear (now w/ the intake) the Errr.......Gr....... etc.... i love that. and i know its only, what, like 117 whp??.... but s**t, its what i got, my car, 9 months of owning it and 2 months of being interested in modding/upgrading/etc.... and its exciting, y'know? never thought i'd be into cars....

but after seein' the work and ideas everyone here has for all their cars... damn man, it's getting addicting. i'm getting mad at myself for not having the money to do all the little things i wanna do, y'know? wheels, body kit, xbox/lcd screen, sound system, hell, even tint (hopefully by thursday tho)...

but yeah. after "graduating" from transportation type to transportation type for my whole life.... bikes, rollerblades, skateboard, now a civic... i'm lame guys. i didnt even know that civics weren't "fast" cars when i saw fast and the furious. i didnt' care to have one, etc etc... but i got a good deal at a dealership, it was black, coupe, and i heard honda's were reliable... and for 3300, i wasnt complaining. my first car, my first (6) speeding tickets (not racing), my first, umm... x-rated events in the backseat of MY OWN CAR?... damn man, those things are priceless... minus the tickets, they just pricEY. but yeah, i'm just saying, this s**t is addicting. and i love it...
