ebay exhausts will work just like any exhaust, but the problem is there is no researc put in to them, so they lack the hp you'd get from other exhausts and fitment.

Well, I'm running about 186hp boosted @8psi. I had a 2.75" custom exhaust made for me and just threw on a cheap generic muffler. I don't get into all that fancy name brand s**t, I don't care how my s**t sounds just as long as it works ;) So I say that ebay muffler would work fine

BTW, it doesn't sound bad at all anyway. Check it out ;)

but what is a name brand exhaust going to do but sound a little better :what: If you think it's going to give you more horse then  The best exhaust anyone can get for their car is a custom made exhaust. A muffler isn't going to give you any hp so you're wasting your mone imo but it's your money so I don't care what you do with it. If you're boosting then I reecomend a straight through muffler, name brand or not.

the only reason you pay more money for a brand name is just that its a brand name and maybe they take more time in making it fit better,,,,,,I find nothing wrong with the Tsudo catback I got......

bizoneoeh what motor do you have in your hatchback.
I have a turbo d16z6 :D

As you can see in the vid in my first post, it doesn't sound bad at all. The gti vr6 I'm racing has a neuspeed exhaust and it does sound mean but it wasn't enough for my little 1.6t >`

eBay exhausts are usually shitty. They look good and sound just as good as any other exhaust for about 3 months and then they start to sound worse and worse. I've heard this from many people who have them. Some might be okay but there is a difference between the name brand exhausts and the cheap ebay ones.

If you're buying a flow through there's absolutely no reason to go name brand in my opinion.

If you can see through the muffler, then its flow through (no restriction). Its a pipe with a whole through it, yes there's some crap on the in/outside to help it resonate, but other than that its just a pipe.
