I say stick with the d and turbo it. Turbo d's are fast as hell if there done right. And I say build ur own kit but if u insist on buying a kit then go with the edelbrock heard so much better about them greddy. And if u want to to save ur self some cash do the install ur self heres a great how to link and with that extra cash u could get it tuned.http://www.cse.uconn.edu/~yelevich/turbo/turbo.html

since the original post is about decideding between the two. get the edlebrock. its more complete, and when you think about itll cost just as much, if not more, to get the same s**t with the greddy.

I know this thread has been posted before but i still dont see a concrete answer. I have about $4k to spend on the turbo kit plus installation. I can get the Edelbrock kit for $3100 shipped and another $500 to install it properly with dyno sheet. The rest im getting an AEM fuel rail and press reg with a 255 fuel pump. If i decide to go with the Greddy im going to get it for $2350 shipped including the intercooler and i will have to purchase a type S bov, MSD 6btm with same fuel pump ,rail and press reg for the same price including installation. If you had this options which one will you pick, Greddy or Edelbrock. The Edelbrock comes with the extra 4 injectors and intake manifold and a ball bearing turbo. Opinions please......
i dont feel like reading this whole thread.. ima put my input in here though. edelbrock kits have been discontinued... there are only 22 of these kits functioning properly in the united states. greddy is your better choice.

ok do not get a b16 and turbo that..... just a complete waste of money between the d16 and b16 stock for stock ofcourse the b series is going to eat it alive.... but when you turbo the numbers are a lot different but the 1/4 mile times are very close you might as well save another grand and get the b18c1 and turbo that and you'll see 12's easy

how is it a waste of money, a turbod b and a tubod d in the 1/4 would not be close dude dont know why you think that.

But i may have read it wrong, if you mean when you turbo the D it will be close to a stock B then that is more understandable.
