hello 8k revs
Try using that redline on your stock D. It'll give you lots of extra horsepower.

PS - it's 8.6k

titanium retainers and cams won't let your d rev to 8.6

Cams and retainers wouldn't let you rev 8k reliably either. That means the retainers are good for 7.5K+, not the motor.

whats a reliabe rev for d with those cams and springs then?
cuz its the part of the specific motor...wouldn't a company be consistant with what they advertise as a product for specific motor?

You didn't say anything about springs. Retainers aren't springs.

Depending on your springs, valves, and retainers, you can have a D that revs over 9K, but it's still going to be a built bottom end and a rebuilt head. I'm not sure what the block can handle tho.

Crower springs are supposedly good to 10k, but the rest of your motor will die long before that.

so how far from a N/A setup am I ...I mean if i got
cai
adjustable cam gear
header
camshaft + kit

is it worth going N/A on this motor...rather then wasteing time and money on turbo?
i mean if its gonna cost less and achieve good results i rather go N/A...but I've heard its really pricey
what else would i need
forged pistons,rods....
ported head.....???
what do you mean by rebuilt head?

On a Y8, there is nothing to do but turbo it. I know a guy who has a has a fully-built race-ready Y7 that's built for low-comp so he can run on pump-gas. His 96 hatch runs like a 13.5. So he's spent like 6K on a motor and only runs 13.5 ... :???:

Oh, and as for rebuilt, I mean ported, polished, remachined, new valves, springs, retainers, bronze valve guides, and cams.

Oh, and an adjustable cam gear is worthless.

Because there's better, safer, more reliable, and far more effective ways to change timing.
