Most are going go argue that there is no such thing as a reliable turbo car, especially when you add cost effective in there. What engine do you have and what is your price range look like if I may ask? Also what are your goals with the vehicle? Dd, race, both? Mpg? The more detail, the better we can answer you.
being turbo has nothing to do with the reliability. if you modify your original non turbo vehicle that's a completely different topic.

semi tractors that are well maintained can have over 1 million miles on them before needing an overhaul.

Diesel engines are a whole different story. There is no comparison..,

he said reliable turbo.

obviously gas powered cars are designed to fail after so many miles and be replaced by new cars. that's just how car companies work. reliable turbo cars aren't unheard of things though.if the car is designed for them is all i said. aftermarket modifications most often time ruin the reliability of things.

Nice, what did you run on slicks? 300whp is
Haha no joke! Was at 237whp or so at 8psi, jumped to 11psi and put me right under 300whp (stressing my manifold bad though.. shitty steel manifold :(), and I'd spin my ass off well into 3rd if I didn't feather the throttle. Gotta love torque with boost haha.
I never got to run on slicks. I picked some up right before I sold the car, and sold them with the car. The new owner threw a rod before I got to see a timesheet :(

That's f**king heartbreaking. Best I've done on a stock engine with an intake and street tires was 14.81, but then I started having torque problems from a rogue CEL and never really improved on it. Now I have a b16 gearbox with LSD, so with slicks, I'm thinking 13s.
Our all motor K swapped Eg is knocking on the door of 10s at about 270whp, but the gearbox on those K series engines are really not the business

We were doing 11.1 in the Krx, about the same HP, fully gutted

That car's sold and now we're onto the Eg hype. With only two runs in the car we're down to low 11s
