why is the gear layout on the shift lever knob rotated slightly?

have you done some spirited driving this little beast?

Just a personal preference. Growing up, I remember seeing Nissan's with this knob, and it was always angled toward the driver. Plus, the stock Sol shifter leans left instead of back:

So it sort of matches the "feeling" of shifting. All very driver-centric.

EDIT: And yeah, I have been driving spirited lately. Played with my GoPro and got a few pulls in. I'll upload the video.
