Yea you can. I was trying to purposely to give some effect. I've seen videos of people using the 50mm 1.8 which has some good bokeh effect.

In my web design class a few weeks ago before that accident happened, one of the assignments we had to do had text already ready for us as well as pictures, and it all had to do with the Lakewood Police Department. Thought that was pretty weird...
