so i went to auto zone today to get my cel read. they wanted $ 170 deposit on it and said that i could get a refund when i return it. well if you've ever returned somthing to auto zone, you know it takes forever for the money to get put back in your account. i told the guy that my car was parked right up front and that i was only going to use it for 5 minutes. I also told him that i would give him my military id card, and he could hold onto that to make sure i didnt take off with it. he said that i could have it if i paid the 170, and i would get a refund. so then i asked him to come out and do it so i wouldnt have to pay that 170. He told me that he couldnt because then there would only be 1 associate in the store. (me and my friend were the only 2 customers in the store) so then i told my friend that autozone is f**king gay, and then the guy was like well US troops are gay. i got pissed (as well as my friend) walked up to him and told him to f**k off and go back to mexico. i cant believe that they were going to charge me 170 to borrow a 100 dollar obdII tester. so f**k AUTOZONE!!!!!

Damn, that sucks man. I go to Autozone frequently, and NEVER have a problem. I went there just the other day to have my CEL coded, and there was ONLY 2 associates in the store, and NO customers. The associate gave me no problem when I said that I needed to have her come out and check it out for me. Go talk to the manager of that particular Autozone, and complain about that associate. Get 'em fired or something. 
Oh, and for the record, US troops arent gay. My father served the Air Force for 21 years....so I know how it is.

You were wrong by lashing back, or even saying Autozone sucks out loud.. I know how you feel, but is this case, the outcome has both parties in the wrong..

If you bought wipers, and asked them to put them on, they'd do it. Regardless of how many "associates" are in the store. As long as there aren't waiting customers, it is policy to do this. Check codes, test charging systems, change batteries, wipers, etc..

on the window it says they do free tests. i was quite happy with them comming out side and doing it for me, but he said that he couldnt leave the other associate in the empty store. not only that, but i think this guy is an assistant manager or some s**t like that and he didnt have a uniform on. the thing that gets me is they make absolutly NO money off of me renting it. i pay 170, then 5 minutes later they refund me 170. but whatever...like i said, f**k autozone and i wont ever go back to that store, nor will i ever suggest anyone go there. i've bought parts from there before (because i had to) and they are VERY un-helpful.BlackHope121 said:

He is a Employee at Autozone, And the customer (Maverick) said autozone (Store) is gay. That gives the employee no f**kin right to say s**t about US Troops. he could get fired what a pussy he should go back to mexico if he doesent appricate people fighting and or dieing for the USA.
