HELLS YEA! I goa PAID today baby!
My tax return went through today as well.. there's a HUGE sum of money in my account :( I'm tempted to say "Bring the amp too" hehe but I won't do that cause I have to drop it all into my Credit Card. *cry!*

Soo.. Yea.. I'm still good for the subs :D See ya tomorrow. Curious, are they boxed?

Haha... well good you're not too tempted, cause a friend of mine here in town bought the amp last month.

If you want some good amps for some decent prices though, check out http://www.outerlimitsaudio.com/ I buy lots of stuff from them... good prices, great customer service.

And if by Are they boxed, you mean are they in boxes?.... yes, they're both in individual .25 cubic foot boxes

Hehe I just saw that..
No man I wanted them gift wrapped! =) Hehe of course that's what I meant. Awesome.. I was afraid I would have to build some boxxes - then I'd go buck wild on the table saw and probably hurt myself, or glue my ass crack shut.

What I don't know is..

My (stock) CD players total output (I'm thinking 80 - 120 watts max?) [Where can I find out? Or should I just buy a new deck?]
How big of an amp I need.. (not too big/expensive) do I want 2/4+ channel, crossovers.. Whats a x-over?
What gauge speaker wire I need..
What gauge battery/power cable I need..
Whether or not I should mount an auxillery power source in my trunk for other purposes as well as this one..

I'm more auditorily (is that a word?) challenged than I am mechanically challenged. I understand all the s**t dealing with electrical interferance, cross talk, short's, and s**t.. Hooking s**t up is a breeze (+to+, -to-, no coils, et. al.) however selecting the right equipment is a mystery to me. I'm clueless.

LoL alright dude... so basically you know nothing about car audio.... ask me Saturday, and I'll teach you what I can... and I'm sure all the other guys there will have input too, cause most of us have systems... and most of us installed our own ;)

But yeah... don't bother keeping your stock CD player... is much too difficult to use it, and the sound quality isn't nearly as good as an aftermarket cd player... might want to go ahead and start looking around for one you like... alpine, kenwood, and higher end sony's are ones I would suggest.... and remember that with car audio, 90% of the time, you get what you pay for.
