First Honda... Need some help

Im not trying to make a "Racecar" im trying to make a car that can surprises my classmate that drive around in there mustangs, camaros and s2000 that think they got a fast car.

You and the hundreds, maybe thousands of others that come on here asking the same exact thing. You aren't going to get that out of a d-series with $1000. This has been covered over and over. There has been some good stuff posted in here. I suggest following the advice + using the search feature.

The motor in your car was built for GAS MILEAGE. The cars you mentioned were built for PERFORMANCE. You are going to need to swap a bigger motor in, boost it, or both. None of which is cheap.

I have sold my Civic si to a friend who is willing to do everything that needs to be done to make this car better then it is... He does have the skills needed, i guess sorry for poor word choice. I don't have the time and money for this project i wanted to start so im going back to my Lincoln ls.

My friend might join these forums cause i told him that everyone on here knows what they are talking about and are helpful.

I guess I'm late to the party, but I'll put this in perspective by saying that I'm in the same situation. I have a 2000 civic ex, I'm in high school, and I swear to god I cannot beat my friend's minivan in a race. This car was built to get 35+ mpg, not to go fast. Hell my top speed is probably about 85 but I haven't even hit that yet. I wish people would quit coming here expecting to get performance from a single cam, fuel economy built, 1.6 liter engine.

Sold the car in a lose but it was to a friend so what ever. If I had kept the car witch I wanted to I would have riced it out with fake/cheap parts. And I know I wouldnt been able to give the car a right home.... Say I did finish the project i wanted to do, where would i park it? I have no room in my garage for another car.

I have gone back to my Lincoln Ls (Spent to much money into it)

Thats after everything was done. you can find my car on other forums/websites/Google search/car shows/Somewhere along the west cost.

I'll be on the forums to see other builds! I might buy a DX in the new year to start a project!
