From the outside it kind of looked like a liquor store... but they only have state-run liquor stores here. So I'm not really sure what it was. Looks like it says "Imports - Clothing - Food" though.

I don't even have a first job. I've applied at all the car dealerships in the auto mall here too (plus a lot of other random jobs).

might i suggest a Type R style grill, BUT get the front H emblem from an Si. i think that would look pretty nice :D

anyways. your car looks amazing amelia :thumbs up
Thanks again all. Just was reading this post and rememebered that I think it's the SiR (EDM) should have a clip on Honda H that fits onto the '96-'98 CTR grill just like the ones that clip onto the Si grill. Thoght I'd pass the info on.

I want your paint so bad.... and I don't even like red:lol:

very nice:thumbs up
On that note, good news! Monday my paint should be getting some extra loving. Cut and buff! I take care of my paint to the best of my ability, but I have acid rain etching from living on the East Coast. So a friend of mine (coworker also with a '98 MR coupe) offered to help me take care of it. Three acid washes on my glass (not the windshield though since it can burn the laminant on it) and two acid washes on my paint and the spots look better... but you can still see them easily. It appears my trunk lid and roof have spots from the plastic that was on the car when it was new. So my coworker, Paul, has offered to do a cut and buff on my car. I can't wait until Monday!

Believe it or not, I've never had to change my own oil before. I've never paid for it of course. I've either had it done when other stuff was happening to the car (i.e., S-Techs) or had a guy around willing to do it for me. Plus, even if I were to do it myself... I don't really have anything I could wear that I don't care if it gets dirty.

So long as I have the proper tools (and can get things loose!) I'd be willing to do the pads. I have new pads sitting around, but I'm waiting for new rotors before I swap them in.

My current job is taking up about as much time as I have right now. 40 hour weeks right now. I mean, I miss gaving 50 hours weeks, but I'm not going to get another job with only 10 hours a week. I do still offer detailing on the side though. I could always see if I could get an extra 3 hours (tops) a day at work... but I'll have to see how sore I'm likely to get form cleaning cars all day. I'm pretty sure my back injury from my car accident was nerve damage... So when I work (or even when I sit or lay) I get sharp, shooting pains through my shoulders and lower back.

I'm sorry, but... EWWW. Polished meshies ftl. They only consolation there is if they were polished they wouldn't look as trashy as polished Si's. I don't know how else you might "not realli feel it" though since you didn't say. In case it's that it looks "too stock", I've already explained that.

:

You honestly think that? Bwahahaha, Nothing says yighhhh like painted OEM wheels if you ask me. At least polishing shows you took some time and effort instead of blasting it with some spray paint and calling it a day. In the end everyone's entitled to their opinion I suppose.

When I say polished I don't just mean stock. When I say polished I'm talking by machine, professionally, not just at home. I'm talking about a near chrome-like finish. And anyway, I'm not a huge fan of (mirror) polished wheels.

Ewww...

Remember that meshies also are painted stock form the factory too. Only the face of each spoke is polished at all. So fuly polishing them is a bit different that polishing Si's (which, btw, I don't like anyway, no matter which finish).

And my wheels weren't just shot with some paint and called it a day. If I never had told you anything, would you have thought they weren't powder coated? Because most people think they're powder coated before I say otherwise.

Thats to everyone else for the kind words.

Ooooh, somebody's a bit sensitive. BTW, the people that mistake painted wheels for powdercoated wheels are just mis-eductaed or ignorant to powdercoat. If I saw yor wheels in person I bet I would know.

Like I said, everyone has their opinion but saying polished wheels are "trashy" when you have spray-bombed wheels is kinda funny. But you like them and that's all that matters and are absolutely entitled to your opinion.

If you don't like it... leave the thread. :what: And I'd say you're the sensitive one. Why did you post? Because you don't like my wheels? no, I don't think that. I think it's because I posted that maybe I don't like your wheels. (In a thread, that nonetheless, has NOTHING to do with your car.)

Yes, I like my wheels. A hell of a lot more than I like your wheels (no matter how much work you put into them they're still Si's).

Just hitting a wheel with spray paint is a lot dfferent than painting it correctly btw. If they'd just been painted on the fly, they'd be peeling.
