It was an R34 Neo 6 RB25DET out of an R34 Skyline GT-Tsoldiaboy said:which one 20 25 26?
I have'nt yet, but alot of people on the Evo forums are running around 13.1 stock and some are running 12.9 stock... The stock IX's are dynoing around 230awhp stock... after 3" downpipe, test pipe, exhaust, boost controller at 21 psi and a tune, they're getting up to 330awhp with just those mods and quite a few are running low 12's and a couple hitting high 11's... it's rediculous. The Evo 8's with the same mods are only getting about 260awhp... There's something about the Evo 9's MIVEC head and larger turbo that's making them REALLY responsive to mods. I have yet to run mine yet... In fact, i've only launched the car once.... it was quite a rush though... after 3rd-5th gear though, it feels like a slug compared to my 240sx... I noticed on the Evo, the "Kill Gears" (or gears where you pretty much dust everyone) are 1st and 2nd... but on my 240sx, it was 2nd-5th... it's diffinately different knowing I have to rely on my launch to beat everyone and run those times.j_fukin_t said:that thing is sexy, and hell yea payments suck ass, you ran that yet stock in the 1/4???
word man, the awd's best wepon in a drag race is the launch the only way to have a better launch than an awd is with an awd with 4 slicksPANGES said:it's diffinately different knowing I have to rely on my launch to beat everyone and run those times.
Thanks. The Neo6 RB25 only came in the R34's... and yeah, it's called a GT-T. It was the first generation where Nissan started using Variable Valve Timing on the Skylines. Only diff between mine and the R33 RB25DET's that people normally get is that mine had GTR internals (good for around 600-700 hp), a larger turbo, and the variable valve timing... it's also rated at the same power as the GTR (280hp), but they're underrated. Shrugs. I paid $4100 for the motor... and that was back when everyone was like "What's a 240sx? and what the hell is an RB?".. I bought the front clip with about 12k miles on the motor. I started that project about 3 years ago and finished about June of 2005. I probally had close to about 20k in that car. Took me forever to save up the money to do it. I have a FMIC kit, but never got around to putting it in, I just used the Skyline's side mount intercooler. For some reason, I just liked it more, because no one ever saw it coming. lol. It was a fun car. I would hit full boost (13 psi) around 2200 RPM (stock boost = 7psi). Feel free to PM me if u have any questions. Let me know if you wanna buy that FMIC kit I have. It's still new, I never got to put it in.soldiaboy said:damn panges that s13 is sick!. I never heard of the neo 6 before is it because its a gt-t? if im not mistaken the regular rb25det is the gt-s?
I got a s14 about 3 weeks ago 8) and the rb25 is the motor I want. how much did you pay for the motor? the cheapest Ive found was 2150 from jdmsource.ca which i think is reasonable. im going to have to pm you cause I can go on forever with questions. o btw do you have a fmic? I dont see yours

Hehe, It's weird going to awd... the traction is really cool. But at the same time, the traction sucks. I miss RWD. In a perfect world, I'd have a RWD and AWD sitting in my garage. I just ordered a 3" test pipe, o2 simulator, Hallman manual boost controller, and I'm picking up a 3" Helix catback exhaust this weekend... still have to order a 3" downpipe and then goto Vishnu Performance to get tuned... but that's like 800 bucks to get tuned. Then I'm gonna get tint and a nice set of coilovers... after that, I'm just gonna call it a day.97auto4 said:wooo soo sorry to hear that for the 240sx but u got ur HOT EVO DOOD !! looking great and nice color choice i love the new evo IX front bumper hehe. Imma get my suby this summer if everything goes right !!! but NICE LOOKING car, u have mods planned? and hows AWD from FWD and RWD
5 years w/ a 13k downpayment @ $418/ month. Kinda crazy for a 20 year old, huh? lol. If I could do it all over again, I'd just rebuild my 240sx. It was a better car in many aspects.rei said:just curious man, how long are you financing for?
