After sucking up water well over 6 months ago, I FINALLY got around to fixing it. Had a bent rod in the 4th cylinder, leaving almost no compression. I started Friday evening around 6pm, and finished up Saturday afternoon, around 5pm (it was about 90* out, with humidity up around 80%....it was f**king HOT). Here's some pixors I took. Enjoy!
Megan Header...4-2-1, 2 pc.
Nothing like brotherly help when no-one else is there. **Im the one under the car**
4th cylinder. Notice the gap between the piston, and the top of the block...
This is what a 115k mile engine looks like
4th cylinder rod and piston...
Compared to the rest...
Fresh new D16Y8 pistons and rods... (Yes, Im using Y8 pistons in a Y7 motor)
4th cylinder with the new rod and piston. Ah...MUCH better....
Re-assembly time...
Mad JDM organization skills...
Im still trying to get the ignition timing set, but other than that, the motor runs perfectly. The Y8 pistons have alittle bit more of a CR compared to the Y7, and boy can I feel it.
