ok that makes more sense but your tune should be in the chip unless you directly solder the chip normally you put the chip socket on first and you can just put in the new chip or remove itThat's exactly what we did because my ecu is tuned and I didn't want to lose the tune.

the tune will never disappear as long as the chip is fine and not burnt makes it much cheaper to solder things on depending..Somehow then it kept the tune. The electrician I was working with told me it would keep and it did. We just got an ecu from a junk yard. Italy tweaking I guess.
