GACivic's Slow Build

It's a work in progress, the front is higher than the back (idiot before me) which might be why the tires look small. The back has like no room for bigger tires. Sadly I don't remember what size they are.

But yeah she's a work in progess, getting the LS motor in Feb some time, then either new full coilovers or working on the 99-00 front end.

I just got rid of my LS/VTEC motor -___-'
LS/V isn't as reliable some say.
It's rather expensive but cheaper than other things.
Tuning and management is the most expensive.
Get the LS, get a B16 transmission, if you still want LS/V save for it once those two are done. But, that's IMHO.
What made you choose LS over B16 though?

Price mainly lol. I will probably just keep stock head, as it isn't a race car, I need it to take me to work and back lol. Reason for swap is mine has 200k on it and I just feel it's time. Might as well put a better engine in if I'm going to put a new one in.

2000 is a good price for the swap, all parts, labor included? (he said engine will have 40-50k on it)

Latest impluse buy, a ex tach cluster off of here. I don't have a tach, which sucks and mine is all crappy looking and cracked, so yeah.

I have an EX cluster as well. Nice upgrade.

As far as the swap goes, I would buy a B16 instead of building an LS/V. If you are looking for a fun daily driver, I think a stock B16 would be more reliable.

GSR swap sound reliable but cost like 3000 or 4000 i think but the B16 is better
i can get a gsr swap for 2k....and i know its good. b16 has higher hp but lower displacement and over priced for what it is. ls will be just as much fun

Cluster looks good! No damage from UPS I presume? I have the factory sliver face plate in my current cluster too, makes it pop more than the matte black bezel.

Well there goes a chunk out of my $1300. Tomorrow I'm getting 2 new tires, new wheel bearing, new wheel stud, and an alignment. Ugh!
