Why is A RHD conversion considered JDM Ricer Bling? I have done many RHD conversions, Civics, Integras, Del Sols, IS300's. My last RHD Civic was a drag car. 135mph traps. best JDM OEM @ HIN chicago. Just curious on why its considered rice? alot of work goes into these conversions. fab time, wiring. it's not bolting on a set of tailights.

you're paying someone to cut your car in half and tack anthother front end on.... which is not easy in itself but keep in mind the frame will be less rigid, the alignment will be off... you'll end up having to shimmy your front end to get it ligned up unless it's done flawlessly by a pro...

alot of people just change out the firewall steerin rack and whatever else is needed lines hoses and what not.. i know a few people with it done, i drove a RHD converted CRX and it drove normal besides the fact i was sittin on the wrong side. Deff Worth it if you have the time and money to do it, I say this becuz its fun to drive.




If you have the parts Your going to spend about 1-3k gettin it done up and whatever else they do Paint and body work etc... if you do it make sure they keep ur VIN on the firewall, Long story short my boy lost out on a car becuz the bodyshop didnt weld his back on


BTW theres a website that sells nuttin but RHD conversion.. Im not sure of them name but ill try to find it.

I just searched google for about 10 min looking for front clips without motors. I found a JDM ITR front clip without motor for 1700 bucks on ebay. but thats it. everything else was like 3g's because they still had the engines in them.

thanks alot for all of your help guys but i was at the local track on saturday an i broke my transmission!!! if any one has any spare b-series hydraulic transmissions laying around that would be cool too!!

lol sorry to hear about the tranny.. but i'm picking up my RHD conversion for 400 bucks.
Just drill out the spot welds on the firewall, and retackweld the new firewall in, bolt up the RHD stuff, and you're good to go.
This is what I'm getting for 400 bucks.

decided to actually do it, lol. maybe i'll post up a howto with pics.
Oh yea, I will be doing a full wire tuck and engine bay shave as well

But it's still a zero performance advantage modification.

I'm not discounting the amount of work involved. It's significant. But it still makes you exactly 0% faster.

unless you're racing on an oval track clockwise....which is not done in North America

lol.. front lips, jdm sidemarkers, 9k rpm clusters, and ITR interior doesnt make you any faster either..
