going b18 turbo

well yesterday I just went to the shop and ordered my engine. It's gonna be a jdm b18c w/lsd, t3/t4 turbo with a few internals so I could boost around 10-12 psi safely. It's all going to run a stock gsr ecu with a vafc. the guy promised between 300-350hp and running mid to high 12's on street tires. I'm not sure if I'll hit that with my 17 inch rims, but at least 13's without slicks would be good. I should be getting it in about 3 weeks so I hope nothing goes wrong or no complications. Now I'm finally going to have show and go.

By the way, how much do you guys think I can get for my stock dx motor? It has only 45,000 miles. If I can't sell it, I'll probably just give it to my friend who could use it till he saves up for a swap.

It costs 8k. And I'll post pics of the engine in about 1 1/2 to 2 weeks when I go drop off my car. Hopefully they'll have some work done so I can show you guys the progress too. But for pics on the whole thing dropped it, it'll have to be 3 weeks and I hope earlier.

yea i know. at first i was thinking of doing the basic jdm b18c swap but i ended up getting the entire turbo setup too cause i might as well go all the way at one time and get a deal package.

12lbs on a t3t4 with a VFAC, bleh go back and order a hondata now with some fuel
if your getting internals you can boost far more then 12lbs...
list entire set up

get hondata s200 and enough fuel to feed it

ill say this, watch that LSD... i dont know much about it but if its anything ilke the ITR lsd
turbo power will tear it up......... thats if you make enough power, so be careful...

read it again, you could run 10-13lbs all day with that turbo on a gsr with proper fuel...
c1 would of been fine, unless you wanted the added compression of the b18c...
good fuel n hondata plus that turbo near 300whp after good tune
thats at like 10lbs...

i'm not getting the whole block built. just pistons (9:1) and rods or something. My gf got my reciept with all the parts listed cause knowing me, I might lose it or probably will.

no sleeves..meh not even worth it, why do all that work and leave the weak honda cyls there

cant really up the boost that much with just pistons n rods to be honest

true, atleast he should have a block guard installed.

ignition timing is gonna f**k you up at 12 psi. and what about your map sensor.. oh boy.

wow, dont even try for 350hp on a vafc...definetly get hondata or uberdata...

did ur little setup deal include injectors?

what kind of manifold?

intercooler?

blow off valve?

boost controller?

wastegate or internally gated turbo?

are you gunna run stock exhaust?

my whole turbo setup and build alone cost me more than 8 grand...

no block guard does nothing, ask any real engine builder
block guard is a total waste of money

sleeve it or dont, guards just cause more trouble in the long run since you really need to weld it in place

3bar map sensor fo sho.. hes going to need a lot, this is why i dont deal with shops unless i know my own
it will save you in the long run, ive saved many friends sometimes they didnt want to listen to me,got f**ked and learned
i didnt help them after they didnt listen though

t3/t4 isnt going to be internally gated sucka..
but yea do you know the exact specs of this t3/t4???
