no block guard does nothing, ask any real engine builder
block guard is a total waste of money

sleeve it or dont, guards just cause more trouble in the long run since you really need to weld it in place

3bar map sensor fo sho.. hes going to need a lot, this is why i dont deal with shops unless i know my own
it will save you in the long run, ive saved many friends sometimes they didnt want to listen to me,got f**ked and learned
i didnt help them after they didnt listen though
i understand what your saying, but at the cheapest is what i'm saying.

wow, dont even try for 350hp on a vafc...definetly get hondata or uberdata...

did ur little setup deal include injectors?

what kind of manifold?

intercooler?

blow off valve?

boost controller?

wastegate or internally gated turbo?

are you gunna run stock exhaust?

my whole turbo setup and build alone cost me more than 8 grand...
yes it came with all those parts you listed and no i'm not going to run stock exhaust. And I will get hondata in the near future just that the nearest hondata tuner is about 5 hours away.

I dont know much but from what ive been hearing and seeing from my stedad's swap youre gonna want to get a good ecu hondata, or if you can afford it or find one cheap (kinda hard) the aem ems and get rid of the vafc cuz with a good ecu you can do all that safely without having to worry at all.

you'll need something more than an indiglo clock to tune it. Hondata ownz...its worth the money, and you will def. need a 3bar map sensor...

and you really have no need to build the b18 honestly, if you want it as a street car. 300 hp in a hatch is more than enough to handle. Anymore and your gonna have trouble hooking...

remember, its not necesarilly the power, but how much of it you can use...

woahh 8Gs. We are planning to do a race ready turbo setup good for 10s and 600hp for about 8-9K and that includes the hondata, our Exospeed Stage 4 block, prepped head, and a bomb turbo setup.
i know it wont include tranny and ecu so its not really 100% compatible.

but guys... research and do more research. look what your money is geting you. look at the parts you are getting and see if its comparable to the market price.

wil

Block guards are no replacement for sleeves. If you're going to shell out 8k on a gsr-t, you'd better do it right.

yea exo but the block work is free is it not, do you guys not do it yourselves?
yea over 11lbs you will need the 3 bar map sensor..
Dprice, hondata isnt a ECU... its a big time piggy back, you just need a obd1 ecu chipped to work with hondata
I use a p28, on my hatch and i used it on my gsr-t.

EMS is great but no need for a full standalone, you can tell hes not going go tune on his own... hondata is great if you want to get it, put it in and let someone else tune

ems is good if you want to tune on your own or need a standalone
becuase if you tally up the price of all the hondata stuff to tune, it costs more then ems
by a tad

if you just read the hondata site too see tuners/dealers trust me many people out there can tune hondata... jus thave to look

where do you live

did I say 10psi will get me 350? you're taking the largest hp i mentioned and using the lowest psi. I said between 300-350 and i can boost 10-12. My buddy turboed his b18c there too except it was stock running at 7psi. He hit 270hp and ran 12.7 all day on SI wheels. so with a little more boost, i'll probably break into the 300hp range and since my hatch is little heavier, hopefully it'll run 13's. And for everyone that I read that boosts 10psi it seems like they've broken into the 300hp range. So either they're all lying about their dynos or I'm right. And there is so many people out there with 300hp or more running 10psi on bone stock gsr.

I had a turbo gsr... been there done that
yes you can make 300whp at 10lbs.. but for one you wont do it with a VAFC, depends on the turbo
10lbs is 10lbs, every turbo is different
a t3/t04e 57 trim can easily make 300whp at 10lbs with a GOOD tune and lots of fuel

you just say your getting a t3/t4...... no specs on it

so before you start to make assumptions give us the real deal on what your getting, before a shop dicks you

270whp on 7lbs.. err must of been a monster of a turbo.. i hope you have a dyno of it

you say bone stock, you mean stock internals becuase yes its very possible i was very close without a real tune, it was all street tuned.... could of made over 300 with a dynotune...
