Good, cheap, sound setup.

I already have an Alpine head unit and also a kenwood head unit, both installed.

I use the Alpine for my radio, CD, and Ipod. The kenwood manages Sirius radio and the MusicKeg that someone stole.

Other than that its all stock.
You have two headunits.

:wtf:

Why?

Is the tuner, CD, and aux input on the Kenwood tits up?

If you are running off the internal amp in the headunit, the Kenwood is better. 22 watts RMS > 16 watts. Otherwise, specs are all about the same between competing Kenwood and Alpine models.

Nothing against Alpine. But it sounds like you just threw an Alpine to have the name "Alpine". It doesn't do anything significantly better than a similar Kenwood.

It may be better to go with better speakers and no subwoofer at all. The cost of an amp, sub and box will add up quick, and by saving that money you can probably get some nice speakers.

That might not be the route you want to go, just throwing the option out there. I personally don't want 60-100lbs of stereo in my trunk, so I'd spring for better speakers and no sub. But to each his own.
i totally agree with you TheWingMang!!! i dont wanna put load on the trunk...
i bought a Sony GT6937X 6 x 9 3 way 350w Speakers and im not sure if this belongs to the nice speaker you mention...
