the paint looks awesome dude, but i gotta tell you, after looking at the exterior of the car, I was shocked and disappointed to see under the hood. It looks so good on the outside, i was expecting more. The only acceptable excuse would be "i had to leave it stock so i dont get bumped into a higher racing class"... outside of that, keep saving your money.

dude where do you get this "clay" and is there an actual name for the product if i where to ask for it other then "clay", what polish did u use and where did u get it. let me know cus i have some scratches (from previous owner, not me!) i need to get rid of asap cus they bother me
It is called clay. It's an automotive detailing clay bar. It's a clay bar. You get it at auto parts stores in general. I'd look around a bit for the Clay Magic bar though since I prefer it over the Mothers and Meguiar's bars. (This IS NOT the same stuff as modeling clay, ie the stuff you buy in art stores!)

You'd be surprised what a proper detail can do for most cars. ;)

My favorite shot is the one of the tail sticking out of the garage. Youre car looks so hot. I usually don't like sedans, but if we end up getting one one day then I want it to come out looking kind of like this.

so you washed, then clay barred it, then polish, then glaze, then wax is that right? which products on that list apply to which of the stated steps as far as polish and glaze and stuff, ive always cleaned my car but it has never been that clean

Yes, in short, wash, clay, polish, glaze (if wanted), wax. Plus all the dressing and such afterwards. Details in my thread.

The polish applies to the steps where it says to polish, the clay applies to the step that says to clay, etc.

I wrote how to do it, Eran wrote the list of recommended products. ;)

yep, i washed it, clay bared with Clay Magic Clay Bar, polished it with Meguiar's Deep Crystal Polish since I couldn't find the stuff Amy and Jason recommended, skipped glaze, and finally waxed it with Meguiar's NXT Tech Wax

Car looks soo good, when you get your lip painted you should have your side moldings and stuff done too. It looks like it's about 99% done at least on the exterior. Some power folding mirrors and rear door handles up front would make it just absolutely sick IMO, looks really great though!
