I got some ctr style headlights (not JDM Honda, but from Japan) in tonight. It took them four weeksto arrive, and I must say, it was worth the wait...

i like how they look with the grill... they actually make the black trim look good in person. i'm starting to think about getting a ctr front lip and leaving it flat black instead of putting my carbon fiber lip on there.

Ive seen a lot of homemade ones and I dont like them. Its worth it to me to buy some good looking ones that were made the way I do it. Im not saying you cant do it right though, Ive also seen some that people did very well on and saved a lot of money on.

Looks good, 2 bad they are not real ctr, but most people are not going to notice it's a 2 part, only the hardcore jdmers would notice if it was a 1 part headlight.

I honestly think you should either get a carbon fiber hood to make that grill stand out less or paint the grill silver to blend better...Just my opinion... nice car tho, I got a silver hatchie too!

IMO the headlights in this post look exactly like the homemade ones, neither of which look like CTR headlights. Unless I'm mistaken, CTR headlights have smoked glass instead of being clear. Much nicer.

i'd be way too worried about messing up doing it myself, if i screwed up then i'm out a set of headlights and my car's out of comission untill i got new ones

Looks good, install the carbon fiber lip and get a carbon fiber hood. It will look good.

As for this guy...

The grill looks odd to me but it does go with the whole look. If you stare at it resembles a face smilin at ya!

Good Job!

tell that from a real ctr is easy. the headlight he has is flat black. the jdm ctr is gunmetal crome. second, im not sure if its his bulbs but there is a purple tint on the headlights, oem honda doesnt. another way to tell if its real is its gunmetal crome and you still see the honda stanley on the headlights, and if you look up close, you can see the city light bulb/hole.
