i say expand your search area. i found the silver wrx in new jersey because it was $3k cheaper there than in the midwest. that's enough of a difference to pay for a dealership inspection, fly out and drive back.

you should really try to a 2001 2.5RS and drop in an ej257 (sti engine) and the 6spd tranny

WERD UP! you'll find much better deals out east and down south especially in FL... I was looking at 04 g35 coupe with the sports package in Texas.. They wanted 9k for it with 85k miles. I was too late, it sold in 4 days..

Just saying expand you search area.. you'll find a better car within your budget.. I only have 10k to spend on a G 0r a Z, I wont find any thing in the Midwest for that price. So I look elsewhere..

take a weekend to do it. find a friend to go with you. drive two cars back. look at places within 10-14 hours driving distance. cars are f**king expensive in the midwest.

That's sounds like a plan, just one problem,, loan can't be had without knowledge of what the price is.

I know a boosted one is better, but I need cheap insurance and don't really care about a turbo right now. Eventually yea but right now I need something with a clean body and somewhat low miles. I want all-wheel drive.

You'll pay out the ass for insurance on a w, you dont need boost yet. Id test drive a few and see how you like them. The bugeye interior is almost identical to mine, GCs are slightly different but not much. That bugeye looks pretty minty tho I wouldn't pay over $4800

RS's are all NA

itd be an appropriate upgrade, your getting awd, no rust, manual, more hp/torque, parts for GCs are pretty cheap

Yea, I see ur point. But there's something about them that don't seem right to me. IDK. I'm not looking for a turboed one at all, I'd get too many tickets my first day. I just want all-wheel drive with torque lb-age to hp-age. If that makes sense.
