i'm going to bdubs in two hours. that's enough time for u chicago ppl to get to south bend lol

in other news, i just test drove the new honda cr-z. pretty fun car and actually pretty peppy for a 1.5L hybrid. it's very quiet and comfortable too. it's got a 6-spd and the gearing is... kinda weird lol... i could cruise at 1500 rpm in 6th gear going 40 mph, and 5th gear at the same speed was around 1600 rpm. anyway, the car's pretty good and the interior has a good amount of space for a 2-seater hatch. definitely bigger than a crx (but not by much)... it's drive-by-wire so the throttle takes a bit getting used to, as does the zero resistance electronic clutch. that sucker goes straight to the floor. it made my subie clutch feel firm as hell. oh, and the car is loaded with gadgets too. f**king insane. not bad at all for right under $20k. not a performance car, but for a DD it's pretty good. plus if you drive a lot (500+ miles a week), the gas savings alone would be a car payment.

i'd buy one over a civic si... but only because it's a more utilitarian vehicle with great mpg (50mpg hwy!!), decent amount of room, and enough gadgets/creaturecomforts to keep one happy. definitely not a performance car, but it had some get-up-and-go from a dig. did a first gear pull + half throttle second and was going 40mph in no time. the shifter is a bit odd. reverse is only locked out when you're in motion it seems. i had a bit of trouble differentiating 6th and reverse when the car was at a standstill. if i had the money and if i was still driving 240 miles every other day, it'd be worth buying.

That's sounds like over kill to me.. Short shift ratios on a small engine? I smell a few recalls.

A minister was completing a temperance sermon. With great emphasis he said, 'If I had all the beer in the world, I'd take it and pour it into the river.'

With even greater emphasis he said, 'And if I had
All the wine in the world, I'd take it and pour it into the river.'

And then finally, shaking his fist in the air, he
Said, 'And if I had all the whiskey in the world,
I'd take it and pour it into the river.'

Sermon complete, he sat down..

The song leader stood very cautiously and announced
With a smile, nearly laughing, 'For our closing song,
Let us sing Hymn #365, 'Shall We Gather at the River.'
