man, i had to do that once, its a messy way to take out an oil filter, but it came off.
I've learned my lesson not to over tighten the filter.

Stupid stubborn oil filter...I shoulda bought an oil filter wrench a long time ago.

my oil wrench always gets stuck on the new filter (even if I put some grease/oil on it before hand). It comes off when I change it but Im always driving around w/an oil wrench stuck on my filter lol

To be honest I just take mine to a dealership worth $15-20 IMO, takes long but they check everything else, usually wash the car too. I just give em my synthetic instead.

I haven't been able to change my oil since I had my head installed.. the o2 sensor was welded in a weird position and in the way of the oil filter lol

i dont have to jack my car up to do my oil. (well I may have to when the springs are one)
but I just hand tighten it, that way its not hard to get off the next time.


and if anyone says thats not good enough, I think 17 years of doing it this way has been proven to be good enough.

Lol yeah, oil filter horror stories. It was pretty late but I started the oil change around 11. Kept leaving it since the oil filter was pissing me off. It's in such a stupid place behind the engine. I have an NRG H brace too so that's ALL up in my way. Even to take off the drain plug it just pours straight onto the H brace. But yeah, I'll be cruising in Chicago today in the afternoon! Holla!lol
