you could do a 50 shot if you adjust the timing and keep it pretty darn reliable.
all power gains in general will decrease the reliability of your econobox engine.

thats really pushing it. i am not a fan of nitrous at all, because the only really reliable way to run more than a 50 shot or so is with a custom tune, using a direct port system. i dont like wet systems at all, and the fpr of a dry system is just that- a crappy fpr. the electronic boxes arent much better. the problem with nitrous systems is they only really work on completely stock motors. if you have any mods to them, ie. cam, port work, higher compression, a frank motor, etc, the electronics dont compensate for that, and you end up blowing your motor up. and for me, if your gonna spend the time and money for a custom tuning job, you might as well put a turbo on instead of the direct port kit, which are pretty damn expensive, and at a 100 shot, you are gonna be refilling bottles pretty often. and the delivery system itself is a problem. even with a 50 shot, as you go down the track, the bottle pressure changes, as n2o is released. the pressure change is only registered by some systems, and even then, its not an exact science to compensate for it. there are better ways to get hp out th ere.

...direct port, along with custom tuning, is the only way to go. and your stock bottom end wont last very long on that either.

+1... our shop Crx sprays a 120 shot of direct port all day on the stock bottem end. Even seven times in one night at the track tunning it + on the street. I would say between 5-8 bottles of a 120 shot have flown through that motor and still no smoke and compression is still 9:1 ( as of last night). We are getting it ready to take it to the track soon.
