Alright whats up guys, I'd wanted to do this for a long time so today I just got off my ass and did it. Turned out pretty well.

I followed this site for the instructions, worked very well I would recommend this site to anyone doing this mod on their ride.

Alright on with the pics:

Before

During the making

No reflector tape here...

And finally the finished product

And there you go, I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out. Heres a couple of shots I took just because I was bored.

Fin.

Yup, just don't rush anything and be carefull when you are seperating the parts of the light because that caulking is strong as f**k when it cools down, so don't force it just heat it back up again. I had a friend help me because there isn't much to grap onto to seperate, so I would suggest having a buddy help or something.

confused.. lol fix it? why the hell would you need to fix your headlight housing... i know how to take them apart and reseal them... but you dont normally need to do that with the oem housings...

they dont look like ek9 housings.. but none the less.. they look pretty good.. nice job man.. ;)

Maybe he means if they get foggy or something i dunno, I would have a hell of a time taking this thing back apart i used a lot of sealer over the factory stuff, but yea.

They don't look like the ek9's? Do they have the amber reflector covered up? Because on the DIY i have it said to use reflector tape over the amber, but i thought it would look cool if the amber showed, o well. Thanks for the compliments everyone! like i said, bronze calipers later this week.

nah man dont get me wrong.. you did a really good job.. but you can just tell the dif between the real ones.. and ones that are spray painted.. real ek9 lights dont really look anything like that the real ones have a mirror finish.. they are darker gun metal.. but still shiny
where as when you spray paint them.. you can tell that its paint.. again NOT being a d**k.. yours came out nice.. in fact they are one of the nicest DIY headlights ive seen.. just nothing like ctr housings IMHO.. ;)

i wouldn;t say nothing like ctr headlights; they are quite similar. obviously if you want jdm parts you have to pay jdm price. this is a far cheaper way to achieve the jdm look that paying a shitton of money for headlights that don;t look 400 dollars better.
