good luck with that.

why doesn't anyone want to build a H23 for boost? thats what i would run
That would be something different. Low CR = healthier setup

You guys need to take a step into the world of Honda-tech and search.

People build H23's for turbo all day long.
H22's are known to blow ringlands under boost, not headgaskets.
There is more than enough room in the engine bay of a H22 swapped EK for a turbo kit. If you can turbo an H22 CRX, you can offically pretty much do it in any chassis.:P

true... I would never turbo an H22a. I love them enough with normal aspiration.

h22 DOHC Vtec > h23 IMO... and if you build an h22 for boost its just as good as a h23... the 900 HP Turbo h22 builds are teh sex.

As far as stock motors go I would lean towards the H23. More displacement, lower compression, cheaper engine. Not that it really matters but I believe H23's are also closed deck. If your gonna build it go with the H22. BTW, its sad not to see more people running N/A with the H-series.

I wasn't "kissing ass" on Honda-tech. Most people don't like Honda-tech because if you ask a stupid question you're going to get a stupid answer. Research.

I like that radiator setup. that does clear up more than trying to jam it in behind a fullo length 'teg radiator.

It's just a half-core. Pretty common.

The H22a and a1's are closed decks also, I think the a4 block was when they went with an open-deck design on the h22's.

i just found out that h23 blocks have carbon fiber lining on the cylinder walls, light weight!!!!!!!! jk, but yeah its said that u cant hone them for a cheap rebuild unless u sleeve it, but who'd wanna do that when h23s are cheap as fuk.. o yeah so whats the intercooler mounted to? and wat are you guys refering to as remote mount?

Agree 100%.. thge h23 has a better block to boost.....meaning that you can run boost on a stock h23 block and it will handle it better than a h22 because of the lower compression and block- cylinder walls. I wold definately do h23 turbo before i did an h22 turbo...maybe run h22 head on h23 block, but not needed. In my opinion, if you have an h22, run it ALL MOTOR- they love it and run like crazy! You can pick up an h23 bloack for well under $500 and then run 7-9 lbs of boost on that until you build it... And!!! there is PLENTY of room under the hood of an EG and an EK for a normal turbo kit, NO NEED for abnormal placement of a turbo. If you want to go turbo, sell the h22 and buy h23, or go B-series! H22 N/A FTW!!

h22 all motor is def. for the win. Especially if you want a fast car that is a reliable daily driver..

260hp all motor hotness.. and there is plenty of room in the bay for sure.. I have a good foot in front of my engine... And I still believe that a built h22 built for turbo is a good engine..
