It's already in fantastic shape for a nearly 50 year old car. Like it's been said, if you got the time and money, I'd snag it.

BMW sells brand new parts for this car..... Seriously I have been building one.you can get eom metals for cheap. Neat swap options from e30 suspension to e36 suspension. S50 motors and all sorts of nifty fender flairs. I love me a 2k2 but you are in Ohio so have fun with rust in all the normal places. Just an FYI $1,500 is an average deal, if you like the car then do it but it's not a steal at that price. Cheers!

I just hope you know its going to cost a lot to do what you want to do, regardless of the connects you have at a paint job.

There is a reason that projects like this takes YEARS to complete. Money and finding the parts. Talk to anyone thats restored a car, some take over 10 years.
