having a problem with my exhaust???

i just bought a greddy catback for my 98 ek coupe and went to put it on yesterday and ran into several problems. of course having my stock exhaust that is 14yrs old there were many broken and stripped bolts and the flange connecting the header and the cat broke completely off. after borrowing a header from a friend and bolting the cat back on, nothing would line up.. if i bolt the exhaust to the cat the flange to the axle back doesnt line up and if i bolt it to the axle back the flange to the cat doesnt line up... how does this happen???

are you sure the header you borrowed is the same style as the one that was on the car previously?

yeah even before i changed the header it didnt line up right.. even if the header was different its a catback so its the cat that it bolts too.both headers were stock d16y8 headers
