Just buy the f**king car then. But in 2 months when it's broken don't create a new thread.

The modifications are cheap. The owner couldn't even insure it.

At what point do the red flags wave hard enough? Oh yeah, it blue books for $1,500.

You're the one asking for input and then arguing. Either take the advice or don't.

I told you that car has been ragged on. 00_civic_ex agreed with me, why? Because it has been f**king ragged on. Was that good enough for you? No.

It's like me trying to explain why you shouldn't date a stripper.

I stay away from this car man. It looks pretty beat up. Or at least go through it thoroughly or take it to a dealer to get checked out if you don't know what to look for. The $100 inspection could pay off if there's something really jacked up with the car.
This is advice, thanks Tony.

He's talking about your cousin who's a tranny.

Anyway. I'd get a car who was driven by a little old lady, because more than likely it's going to have low miles and it's never been beat on.

You can go to a dealership, but you'll be paying a premium for one, and ask for a CarFax on it.

here is what people are TRYING to explain to you...

Hondas/Acuras ARE pretty durable cars.. BUT at the end of the day they are STILL economy cars.. they are NOT built to be beat on.. they are built to get good fuel economy.. so the PROBLEM is all the little things that are NOT super strong axles, motor mount, etc.. AND on top of that the motor/trans/ clutch themselves.. YES they can be durable.. and last long.. BUT when beat to piss and not well maintained.. then no.. they break.. and gets expensive fast..

when you buy a car you intend to do performance work to there are ONLY TWO routes..

1. buy something that is basically all stock owned by an adult (35 40+ years old).. GENERALLY you will have better luck with cars like that because people of that age group NORMALLY dont go around trying to prove how cool they are driving like a dumb ass.. wearing the s**t out of a car..

2. pay BIG money and buy a car from someone who has a reputation of building GOOD cars..

the integra pictured looks like a piece of s**t.. and is likely owned by some 20 year old kid who bounces the needle off the rev limiter on a daily basis.. if you are looking for a piece of s**t that is likely going to break and fall apart... that car would be an AWESOME choice..

I'd buy that car if I was looking to kill myself.

mr jollypants, my cousin could kick ur ass blind-folded with all limbs tied up.

I looked at it. Shifts and rides smooth. engine bay is clean with rebuilt camshaft. new clutch done professionally by a honda dealership. Only problem, is a white bumper, a faint ticking coming from the power steering pump area, and the passenger door handle sticks. me and my cousin both drove it. its lowered on steelies with a fart can. the car was driven buy the dudes dad until 2 months ago when he gave his son the car for grad present from college. hes selling it because he bought a del-sol. they agreed on a price of $1700. 124,000 actual miles. clean interior and exterior except for different color bumper. no rust on body or main parts of under carriage.

No he wouldn't. He wouldn't get within 15 feet of me.

I'd get a CarFax on it, and have it inspected by a mechanic.
