No they dont have the same engine.

They both have sohc engines. 5th gens have a 1.5 non vtec and a d16z6 vtec engine. There is also a vtec-e economy motor in the 5th gens. The 6th gens have a 1.6 liter non vtec and a 1.6 vtec. Different intake and exhaust manifolds as well as obd2. The 6th gen si came with a b16a2 which is a dohc 1.6L vtec engine with shorter gears. The del sol also came with a b16a3 engine. Vtec. But smaller lobe on the cam.

5th gen for racing. 6th gen for looks imo.

you can search on here google etc all of these questions have been answered a million times there are entire write ups for every type of motor swap there is. Why which generation is better etc
and just because its a d series does not mean its all the same motor and

I have a wild question. What mods would fit the D16Z6 and the B16B Type R? These engines look almost the same, how can I tell the difference anyway
Because I found couple websites that have a complete swap for around 3400-3700. I'm considering buying a shell, but in case I bought one with a motor what can I use on both engines?(Please say turbo kits lol)

Im new to this Platform and all the engines look the same. I read couple articles and threads, i know they are a lot better my question was if some parts can be Used on both engines

Not much really. Fuel injectors and intake tubes are the only things I can think of

You need different exhaust manifolds, tunes(ecus), a few other here and there.
