help me get my windows working.

nuthing. dang man! i dont wanna have to buy a whole new switch.....but will that solve the problem?
when i first got the car the guy had a ghetto setup to roll the driverside window down. a ground wire grounded to the window motor bolt and a powered wire coming from the battery direct. i had to plug them into the back of the connector and the window would roll down. janky, but it worked.
if it is the switch, can;t i take it apart and fix it?

ok so the driverside switch has a tiny metal connector inside the blue slide guide or something. it wasnt lined up correctly with the switch so it never had a connection. i set it right and put it back together. i still think its not getting power from the power source itself. cause it worked with a janky powered wire......just assuming. but the first three letters of assuming are a s s so.....idk.

yeah so i'm so frustrated with it that i just gave up for the day.....put everything back together and just left it. dang.....i'm soo flustered. so i took out the battery tray and followed the blue/white window power wire and then got friggin lost in the wiring under the steering wheel.....ugh!!!
i know its the dang power wire but iif i cant follow it, why else could it not be working?!
