manual....f**king....windows....

my drivers side window has been a pain in my ass since i got my car....started about a week after...

i have broken one interior handle already over this...

my window is an EXTREME pain in the ass to roll up/down. i'm a pretty strong guy...and this really takes enough "oomph" for me to complain about it.

when it FINALLY rolls up, there is about a 1/2" gap on the side of the window closest to the side mirror, and its angle follows to the rear of the door.

while this rolls up, there is still a gap, which creates a kickass WHISTLEEEEEEEE while on the highway, and always leaks a bit under heavy water....

i have opened up the door panel, and just sprayed lube on everything i saw that involves the window.

is there ANYONE that can help me make this pain in the ass go away....?

1. its prolly off track, which is why it was so hard to put up
2. Having been able to put it up, your prolly f**ked it up and made it worse and now my need new window internals
3. If you can, try and fix it yourself. If not, i feel sorry for you

i just sprayed wd40 on the sides where the window rolls up...umm...the places where the side mirror tweeter holder attaches to, and the rear of the door...

rolls up and down perfectly now and the gap is gone. Still some minor force required, but absolutely nothing like before....

damn it i was having the same problem and i notcied that the rubber on the outside of the car was getting stuck between the window and the track or whatever and it was making it so hard to roll up, so i pushed it back and the window worked lik new, then 2 weeks later same thing except the rubber is in the right place and now everytime i roll up the window i end up almost braking the handel off

a better lubricant silicone based is better than wd40, and will last a lot longer

awesome! how to worthy!

BUT..the kicker...what will i be needing to do?

would my window be totally off one side of the track or something? would i unbolt, put window in track, and then tighten bolt back down and lube?

thanks so much man!

yeszir!^^

it should be obvious when you take off the panel.

usually what happens is it either it comes off the tab/s, ( the black plastic things that hold the window in place which is bolted on the window track) or a bolt is loose or falls out which causes the wind to be off track. making it really hard to roll up and strip your window cranks.
you can fix this buy using some sort of cauking and putting it in the tab before inserting the window back in and/or putting the bolt back where it goes.
the last time i was in there the bolt came off the tab on one side of the track and the the window fell out the tab on the other
