this is from the guy who is working on it
This is whats up.
Car: 98 Civic EX Auto
Motor: Y8 (stock)
Turbo: HF Manifold with 14B turbo.
Problem: Oil spewing out of number 3 cylinder like theres no tomorrow.
ECU: chipped with crome Auto P28
I wired up the car originally for obd1 (IAC) and 440 DSM injectored. I used 10ohm 10watt resistor packs that i had on my car with injector clips (I know these are good). Other then that the fuel set up is stock. No Missing Link, no FMU, no upgraded fuel pressure regulator. Finished up the last of the intercooler and downpippe pipping and started the car. You could see gas spewing out of where the o2 sensor sits on the HF manifold and leaking where everything meets. Converted the injectors back to obd2 and ran the stock injectors still the same thing. Pulled the plugs and saw cylinder 3 was drenched in fuel. This was all last night.
This morning went out and grabbed new plugs, last night i left number 3 out so it could dry up. Then i placed number 3 plug into cylinder 1 and put cylinder 1 in 3 to see if it was just the plug. It wasnt. pulled 3 out still gas there. Checked for spark and there was enough to atleast start the car. Rewired cylinder 3 injector this time soldered instead of butt connectors. Same thing. Ran a compression test and came out with 1. 160, 2. 160, 3. 80, 4. 160. This was cold mind you. After trying 3 different ecu's (2 chipped, one by me and one by mbter, and then his stock one) it was still spewing no matter what ecu. Although his stock one not as much as the chipped ones. Checked the compression again and 3 jumped up like the rest (180 all across). Tried different setups with crome and it all did the same.
This is were the car sits at right now. Still on the list to do is put in the new spark plugs (didnt want to foul them up) and convert the harness back to obd1 (without resistor packs) and try running some stock obd1 injectors. Other then that i sure am up for ideas because i have never seen this before.
Cliff: Everything you could have thought of, i did. Any suggestions?
