That she is, but if you are going to correct someone, you should have proof to back it up. Best way to learn is to listen. We still don't know what class, she could be talking about highschool shop class. We all know what good that does for learning.
Ok, yes I actually did say it was an automotive class. It is a high school class, however I'm learning. I have a purpose for it also, which many of them in there don't. I didn't back anything up, he asked for my opinion on what someone should do, so I gave it. I'm only 17, I don't know all about cars, but I'm learning more everyday. And I know more than most people even think just by looking at me. I'm not on here to hear you all talk crap about my knowledge, I'm in here because we all share the same passions, Hondas and in this particular forum, civics

I was biting my tongue all day. I'm glad someone stepped up and said what I was thinking. [emoji38]

You failed me boi! That's 50 CC lashings... :whip:
And actually, it's not. Many of the people I meet at car meets and different events, all treat me different because I'm a girl. They talk to me like I have no idea what I'm doing. Many times, I'm the only girl you'll see there. I do learn by listening and that's mainly how I know what I know now.

Would either one of you like to educate the class and point out where on a civic manual transmission there is a shift solenoid? Only solenoid I have seen on a manual is on something like a C5 vette where it forces you to shift from 1st to 3rd/4th to save fuel on slower take offs. Called a skip shift solenoid. Never heard of something like that on a civic though. Civic uses the traditional clutch, flywheel, lever/cable, and gears to shift. No internal hydraulic control.

FTFY = "Fixed That For You". He changed your post in his quote of your original post.

I never said there was a solenoid on a civic, I was just being a grammar Nazi.

Calm down. Lol. No one is talking crap about your knowledge or lack there of. You tried to correct me and I called you out on it.

Yes you have a lot to learn and there is a bunch of guys on this forum and a couple ladies that can actually teach you more than you will EVER be able to learn in that highschool filler class. You just need to check the chip off your shoulder at the door and listen to what they have to say. This isn't some ricer show you are at. No one gives a s**t if you are a girl or how old you are. One of our best members here started on the site when he was like 14. He is just recently got his doctorate and has given more heart and help to this site than most. Show you are willing to learn, take advice, and you will be treated like anyone else. This is club civic, not a bunch of high school kids at a local fast food parking lot, no one cares about that woah is me nonsense.

I would bet the way people treat you has more to do with your defensive attitude than because you are a "girl". Just like here. No one really cares, but you came out of the gate announcing it and then got defensive. Why not just come to the forum to hang out and discuss "civics"? Could have done it without the blatant admission that you are female. It's like you want the added attention. There is a woman that has been here for years and yet 95% of the members don't and won't know she is a female. Just like ethnicities and sexual preference, no one cares.

I'm curious as to who the mystery female is.

But Cary (lethal) is right. Don't worry about trying to impress anyone. Just keep an open mind.

Nah, I'm talking about the one that lethal referenced in his post. The one that's been around for years and most don't know that she is a female.

I was talking about Crash. She never announces or makes it known that she is female unless someone calls her man, dude, buddy, etc.
