Hi guys, im new (sorta) to the Honda world. I origanly owned a 2002 RSX-S but unded up being totaled (girl on a cell phone t-boned me) So now im saving up to buy a 1993 Civic EX (always wanted one)
Sorry if this is not the rite place to put a post, like i said im new, i tried looking for a 'noob' spot so again im sorry, please dont rag on me or w/e. Just wanted to say hi and very excited to be part of this forum.

When i purchase my civic, i already have plans lol - i am giong to re-build the whole motor including machining (which i wont do my self) and i will re-spray the whole car my self also so im very exicted to do that. So i figured that would be cool to post pictures of the re-build process for all. thanks again guys!!

There's a build section. Definitely start a thread there when it happens.

Welcome.

Just one questions. never woked on a Civic before, not saying i wont know how to do it - but what would th best idea be, i want to rebuild it, but i see alot of peopel talking about swaps being cheaper, wouild this be true or a btter route to go?
Bassicaly i just want to beef up the internal I.E pistons, rods, cam(s) valves e.t.c.. eventually i MIGHT go turbo but i prefer all motor.

just start another thread in engine tech section and you'll get better and more serious responses.

If you have the stock D-Series engine, don't build it unless you go turbo. You'll just be wasting money. They're slow and not (IMHO) worth the money to build the hell out of it and only stay N/A. B/H/K-Series engines have more potential but are obviously more expensive. If you want all motor and want to be faster, get a swap. Search Honda-Tech for information on swaps. They have plenty of sticky's in the 92-00 section in the FAQ stickied thread.
