i got mine in yesterday i put it on left and right so my lights turn on using high beams?...should i put the high beam to the low beam slot?

if u got DDM HIDs....I put the positive prong in the middle slot and the negative prong in the right slot. I don't need to use the high beams to turn them on. I just turn the knob one click like regular headlights and they turn on.
