edit-
mine is a theft deterrent thought its works so that i have a hidden switch and if you dont turn it off the horn will stay on if someone tries to drive away with your car they will have to drive whever they go with the horn on...
ha.. i mean i can wire it no issues.. my problem is more on a honda wiring side.. i understand its just a momentary switch.. but WHAT to cut into is the issue.bizoneoeh said:I'm pretty sure they have kits for that at auto part stores. You could just change out the switch that comes with the kit with the switch you want. If my old girlfriend's mom in TX can do it, I'm sure you can
THAT MY FRIEND IS WHAT IVE BEEN TRYIGN TO FIND OUT.. lolsteve98ex said:thats pretty straight forward. your horn already has power to it, the wire that is in the steering wheel is a ground. when you push the button it completes the ground and sounds the horn.
find the blue/green wire in the column or in the green plug behind the radio. attach it to a switch and the switch to a ground point.
ok but COULD you "honk the horn" just by grounding that one wire you (both) were talking about?BlackHope121 said:btw i failed.......
the horn works when the car is off..i cant figure out how to change that so i cant make the theft deterrrent like i wanted
so if i just ground that wire with the car on or off.. the horn should honk?boricuacvc said:p.s....
Horn Trigger wire Also found in the green factory alarm plug located behind the radio.
