How can I make my car safer if it doesn't have any airbags?

but good luck talking yourself out of a speediing/street racing ticket when the cop walks up and sees you with your roll bar, racing seats, and 4 pt harnesses

a cop cant ticket you for speeding if youre not...and if you are then you deserve the ticket. and he cant ticket you for racing unless youre caught in the act. as far as i am concerned.

who knows: maybe he asks you for a test drive.

Sorry for the thread jack but say you have a setup like OC's, recaros and a harness; and you get pulled over can you get a ticket for not wearing a seatbelt? I know it's going to depend on state laws but I can just see police giving you a hard time saying "technically its not OEM safety equipment".

you COULD get a ticket.. but the few times ive been pulled its been more of a social chit chat kind of session.. like oh man look at that.. wow thats nice.. MORE than like a wait let me see what we can ticket you for

Good tires inflated to their proper tire pressure, good brakes, and most importantly drive safely.

driving safely doesn't take into account of other peoples' reckless driving -- sucks! you can die from someone elses' stupid actions than you own.

what im saying is...your chances of getting let off with a verbal or even a written warning are greatly reduced when a cop sees you in the racing getup...

i was staged up in the wrong lane with a flagger in front of me ready to race a camaro when i was blocked in by several police officers.. nitrous bottle open and armed... cage.. harness.. the whole deal.. not only was i not arrested.. but i didnt even get a ticket... the cops were VERY nice and cool.. im sure that had something to do with it..

Pull the interior door panels off. Weld a big ass bar across the door to prevent side intrusion.
mount fuel cell in where passenger seat used to be.
securely mount racing seat, harness, and HANS Device
Find a helmet.
Put the helmet on.
