I installed the optima yellow top in my car...first of all, its the D51 that fits the 2005 civic si (canadian model), NOT the D51R...i originally bought the D51R but the terminals were on the wrong sides and wouldn't reach, so I exchanged it for the D51....anyways, so far the lights still dim just as much, stereo output is the same (i wasn't expecting these things to improve much anyways)....and I haven't had a dead battery yet...however; i just installed it today, so time will tell....

I have a jump starter in my trunk and it has been my best freind cuz i always kill my battery from listening to my music.
