I thought I was the only idiot to buy the wrong cluster!
how do i cover automatic markings on cluster...

cant you take the speedometer part from your old cluster off and put it onto the new EX cluster and then take the black bezel off also and just build it so that you wont have the auto hole and letters anymore? I read that you can interchange parts on clusters,so maybe you can fix the problem right now and you dont even know it. I hope you understand what i mean, i am really bad at explaining things but maybe someone should know what i mean
True, but aren't the automatic makings near the fuel gauge? I think that part stays with the tach and only the speedo can be interchanged. I know on the 6th gen the automatic markings are in between the fuel gauge and the temp gauge (right side for EX) Now with out a tach the fuel gauge is by it's self, so you really can't change those. I confused myself here, but to make it simple. DX has only one needle on the right (fuel) and the EX with TACH has two needles on the right (fuel and temp) with the automatic markings inbetween.
