how do i get started????

i'm new to this and starting to learn about cars....
i drive a es1 and the person that owned the car before put on a aftermarket exhaust an 18'' montegi rims.
Anyways lol i was wondering how do i start learning about cars?

forums websites like this read up on whatever is you want to know with the search feature dont start a thread for every question just trying to save you from a talking to later
Work on them thats how everybdy i have ever known has learned trial and error be your own mechanic and just try to figure everything out on your own without taking it somewhere im not saying attempt extrmely dificult things untill you are comfratble that you know how to do it but its the way to learm put in the wrench time on your own car

Read stuff, go to meets and make friends and ask questions, DIYs, work with a friend

i say just diy alot i could honeslty say i went from knowing nothing to knowing alot from forums and alot of diy's. You may fail maybe even mess things up and have to go to a shop to get it fixed but you learn. Also watch a local mechanic do stuff thats how i learned how to do ball joints and brakes, alternators etc. I went from total noob to being pretty confident in the fact that i can take my civic apart and put it back together.
