How do you deal with the ridicule of being a ricer

everyone is going to have something to say about any car. I have a 66 mustang and my chevy friends say it's a POS, some ford people say chevy's suck. everyone that's REALLY into one type of car is going to think every other type of car blows ass. you really need to grow a pair and either don't worry about it, or get another car if it bothers you that much. and really, i bet their just giving you s**t, because if they were actually being d**k heads, your the dumbass for continuing to hang out with people that make fun of you. I got made fun of for driving a dark red 4 door saturn back in highschool before I got my hatch, yet at every party when people were drunk as f**k, who was calling me to drive their asses home? my friends with nice ass old cars and little two seaters. everyone knew they could count on Jay to get home since i didn't mind packing like ten people in my car while I was drunk and driving home.
so either deal with it, get new friends, or get a new car that your friends like, gaurantee your not going to be very happy with a car your friends like though, but apparently if that's what it takes to get them off your back that's your choice. that or get hella money and have one of every car.

JuiceBoxHero lives in Texas where Hondas aren't as super common. The OP (original poster) lives in California, where he might meet one person every twenty years who doesn't drive a Honda. Apparently it's quite upsetting to be called a ricer by that person.

Oh, and to anyone going on about if you want everyone to like your car get a Mustang. Wow. Does anyone here really realize how incredibly wrong that is? Do you think Chevy guys like Mustangs? Do you think Ford guys like Camaros? People aren't always going to like your car. They have different tastes. Hell, I probably don't like your car. Do you feel like you lost something because of that? You really shouldn't. It doesn't really matter.

well said! its your car. make it how you want. it should reflect you views and tastes. its your time, energy, sweat, blood, and money. be happy with it and stop caring what EVERYONE else thinks. they are probably just jealous that a little 4cyl car can keep up and/or beat them, and still maintain 30+ mpg.

Anyway, I really don't care about other peoples cars. I drove a 1991 s10 blazer for nearly 3 years, people used to do all kinds of s**t to it, but I never cared (just no ride for them). I could fit 7 people in it, and I was the guy who always gave people rides, so it got some respect.

I love the s**t out of my civic. It gets three times the mpg as my blaze, and now people don't beg me for rides anymore because they think I don't have a back seat. Best f**king car ever, IMO.

yes but subaru hp and honda hp are two different things. it's like a 4:1 ratio, so basically you really have like only 100hp. jesus christ your suby must be slow, i bet a stock LX can take you
