i get about 21 mpg from my 98 ex. but the only places i really go are school work and the gym, all within a 2 mile radius.
how are your valve guides? do you warm her up to op temp? change the oil often? a honda that cold starts, runs for 5 mins many times with >3k on the oil will only last 200k.

With my old 93 CX Hatch the best I got was 39.9 mpg, and it was an auto. But that was with some serious effort and self control. I bet I could have squeezed a few more mpg if I had tuned the car up.

my 93 1.5 dx hatch has traveled 465 miles out of 12 gallons with two remaining! on average, i can easily get 400 miles out of a tank. my commute is 200 miles per week. i also drive it somewhat easily. LOL, there's not much power, so why punch it if the car doesn't go anywhere! that isn't the reason i bought this car anyway. it's been great to me! bought it three days after Christmas back in 2006.

So this shitty winter fuel and cold temps had gotta my mileage down to low 30s WTF.

I did a trip today filled up when I arrived at destination, I was at 30mpg. I was pretty pissed I generally let the car warm up till the idle settles down I understand this will add years of life. Long of the short Id read that the cooler air being pulled in had an effect, I pulled the intake pipe off the box at the actual intake plenum (Y7) as I have it pulled down as far as possible to get the "cooler" air coming in through the front bumper. The return trip was a solid 47mpg. I generally get 40+ to a gallon Its a stock Y7 less the air box recent stock ignition parts and AMSOIL throughout the drive line. I always use mid grade fuel. My goal is 50 and I am hoping with lighter rims and tires itll happen

I usually average 42 to 46, mostly highway. Gotten as high as 49. I can't remember the last time I got under 40. I drive pretty conservatively, though. Like someone else said on here, why punch it if it's not gonna go anywhere anyway.

I'm getting 23 city now on a stock d16y7 with a sri with an AEM dryflow & not running the ac, I changed the IACV but that didn't fix it, gonna change both O2 sensors today & see if that does the trick, wanna get between 29-30 at the least hopefully more.
