How many Civic models were relased from 96-00?

I've went all over Google thinking this would be easy to find, but apparently it's not easy information to find. I am trying to find a database that has information about the number of 1992-1995, and 1996-2000 CIvics, Del sols, and CRVs were released. If anybody would happen to know, great!

Also would anybody know of a website where I can find approximately how many are still on the road today? I am thinking something like the DMV has these records, because they know how many titles for Civic are out, but I can't get the right person who will give me the numbers/statistics.

I am doing a study research on several makes and models and the Civic (the car I own) is among the models I need to search.

Thanks guys.

Honda doesn't really release production numbers unless it's part of the selling point (like Zanardi Edition NSXes - 50 made).

ive seen production numbers somewhere, but it was only for the 99-00 si. like 8500 of each color or something of that sort

i imagine its going to be difficult to find official production numbers because there were so many variations across different markets, but your best bet US marketed cars is with NADA or DMV or something. Maybe its traceable through VIN numbers :what:

Wait why does it matter?
It doesn't matter anymore than any other production numbers out there matter (besides super low production number vehicles).

Even then, it's still just about how many are made. Nothing more.

Okay, to set the record straight about those numbers...

There is NO evidence that any of those numbers are true.

Also, the rumor is that the Electron Blue Pearl Civic Si coupes were TWICE as common as the other two colors. My research (by tracking actual cars) has shown this to be true.

There is no word from Honda on the actual number of Si coupes produced though. I actually hate that people spread those numbers around because there is nothing that points to those numbers as being factual.

It's just as factual as if I went around and said only one thousand Civic Si coupes were built each year in each color. There is no truth or evidence to it at all.

Here is what I was referencing in my previous post about the colors of USDM Civic Si coupes:

What color is your USDM EM1 (Si)?

49% (107) - Electron Blue Pearl (B-95P)
30% (66) - Flamenco Black Pearl / Starlight Black Pearl (NH-592P)
21% (47) - Milano Red (R-81)

The percentage of EBP cars has stood steady around 48-51 percent. The other two colors have varied and have been as close as 24-26 percent apiece.

I included options for people to mark down that the cars were repainted or from other countries so I could isolate the correct information.

Oh, and I"ve been trying to collect USDM EM1 VINs, but a person on Honda-Tech tried to say I could be a car thief. He speculated that I was getting the VINs so I could fly out all over the country and steal cars. He claims he contacted the Seattle Police about this, but I was never contacted by them. To cover their butt, Honda-Tech deleted the thread, which I understand.

It was a troll though, who I believe has since been banned. I have no reason to believe the police were actually contacted.

I would be willing to create a thread on this site to help me collect more VINs for this project, which has been mostly put on hold since I stopped getting people to send individual VINs. You eventually run out of cars for sale that you can copy the VINs from. :???:

If it happens, I have an idea of who it will be.

I think the mods would stand up for me a bit more here since they know me. =)

I don't even have any stolen parts on my car. I've passed up good deals on parts I want if I have any suspicion of the parts being stolen. The way I see it is the parts wouldn't have been stolen if there wasn't a market for it. If people stop being stolen parts, then people won't steal parts so often.

Yet I continually see people saying, "Well, I don't care because it's a good deal." If you knowingly buy stolen parts, I hope you're on the other end some day. I hope someone steals something from your car.

I think you might be misunderstanding.

I specifically requested in the other thread (and would in this one) that people NOT post their VINs in the thread. All VINs were and are kept private. I haven't posted any of them up.

Some of the cars on the list include:
- Member vehicles
- Vehicles once owned by members, but since sold
- Vehicles that belong to friends of members
- Cars for sale
- Totaled cars

I really see no reason for most people to be so secretive of their VINs. All these cars are plenty easy to break into without a key.

Not that I'm saying anyone should post theirs publically online, but I'm really nothing to be afraid of.

I've stolen zero cars, broken into zero cars and actually helped recover an Si (my original ignition fuse went to that car to get it back to the dealership it belonged to). Some of you probably remember the thread I made about that car. Honda gives me a discount because of it. I heard it's been stolen something like eight more times since then! (They installed LoJack on the car and have gotten many of the reports I guess.)

I did think it was confusing that anyone would actually believe I was going to do something bad with the VINs. On Honda-Tech there is a thread for Intergra Type Rs that is the same. VINs are required there too.
